Spotlight: Liam Davis Releases “Make Me Cry”
Everyone can relate to heartbreak. It is a feeling many people know all too well and one that always makes you cry. This newest release from artist, Liam Davis, is one that will connect with many.
Born in New York, Liam Davis has always shown an interest in music. Growing up he listened to The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin and he also studied classical percussion and jazz music. Liam began playing instruments when he was just at the age of 8. His biggest inspirations are some of whom you may have heard… Elton John, Billy Joel, and Paul McCartney. I would say those are some pretty good people to look up to! Liam’s first single In My Dreams, was released in 2020 and is about a relationship that he had. Even though that release was nearly 2 years ago, that does not mean Liam has stopped making music. In fact, he has a lot of new songs to come and he is super excited for the future! As of right now, on January 28th, Liam has his newest single, Make me Cry, coming out along with a music video!

This song is the perfect break-up song to cry to. It makes you feel like you are not alone and that is what everyone wants post break-up. Liam offers a vulnerable side of him in this track that is accompanied by his amazing vocals. The song starts off soft with a guitar and piano and then when the drum comes in, Liam’s vocals are truly the star. The amount of emotion you can hear in his voice is something missing in mainstream music. His vocal runs throughout the song give it even more emotion. The honest and raw lyrics convey that sense of loneliness during a break-up. This song truly creates the feelings one feels during a break-up. The catchy guitar solo shows off more of what Liam has to offer. This song is so honest and real and will connect with many. The music video embodies the song as it shows a relationship falling apart. The video has the same tone as the song and with most of it taking place at night, it invokes the sense of loneliness and heartbreak the song does. Please watch the video to support Liam Davis!
